Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Languages (Principal Lee, Byong-Ho, Ph.D) founded by Bong-Ahm
Institute (Kang, Young-Joong, Ph.D, Chairman of the board) has been providing a series of special lectures
as an introduction to university subjects by inviting instructors from Seoul National University.
Considering the significance of an interdisciplinary approach to learning, Gyeonggi Academy has decided on offering students a chance
to experience a wide range of college majors to ensure that it will serve as a guideline for students
to pursue their career and educational goals.
In April, Gyeonggi Academy established an agreement with the college of education in Seoul National University
in order for students to take a range of courses such as linguistics, political science, economics, liberal arts, international relations,
history, and astronomy as part of after-school activities during the summer vacation.
This agreement between the two parties is aimed at enhancing education competitiveness, nurturing future global leaders, and
improving teaching methodology and education service.
In particular, Gyeonggi Academy and Seoul National University have agreed to largely cooperate with each other on providing
a competent educational support for the school system including education service programs, offering the mentoring partnership, developing educational research materials, and exchanging both human resources and products.
Starting this September, Gyeonggi Academy students will be provided with the One on One mentoring program associated with
Seoul National University students.
Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Languages was the first among high schools in Korea to adopt IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma
Program) which is the international programmes accredited by the world’s leading universities.
