GAFL is the only national Korean High School to be authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme. IB World School and GAFL share the principles of education, challenging spirit and globalization.

The GAFL IB Diploma Programme offers all classes in English, other than Korean Literature and Japanese language. Students who enroll in the IB programme complete one year of pre-IB coursework prior to entering the actual diploma programme, which prepares them for two years of full commitment to learning and research in all its forms that require strong discipline and will to acquire knowledge with an inquisitive, cooperative, caring, creative, critical, and analytical way of thinking.

In the IB programme, students fulfill three core elements-Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Extended Essay (EE), Creativity/Action/Service (CAS), along with six major subject groups.
